The Fleet Family of products from SGSI provides four ocean region maritime coverage with each Fleet variant suited to a particular type of maritime user.
Fleet 77
Your global maritime shipping communication needs are met with Fleet 77. Four ocean region coverage turns any vessel into a floating office with key features like 128 kbps ISDN connectivity. Your ships can now be seamlessly integrated with your shore-side networks.
Fleet 55
Fleet 55 combines global coverage for voice with spot beam coverage for data. Whether equipping your coastal patrol fleet or pleasure yacht, Fleet 55 offers a versatile range of solutions previously restricted by size and expense of terminal hardware. Choose from MPDS or ISDN connections depending on your needs.
Fleet 33
As your primary piece of communications equipment Fleet 33 delivers you near-shore connectivity with “big ship” performance features. Operating in spot beam coverage areas, your vessel is now capable of low-cost voice and data transmission in addition to messaging, e-mail and web browsing.
FleetBroadband
FleetBroadband is Inmarsat's next generation of maritime services delivered via the Inmarsat-4 satellites. The service is designed to provide the way forward for cost-effective, high-speed data and voice communications.
Users will have the choice of two products. Both will use stabilized, directional antennas, which will vary in size and weight. The above deck antennas will be smaller than existing Fleet products used today.
FleetBroadband is currently planned to be commercially available in the second half of 2007.
The proposed FleetBroadband service will provide:
- Simultaneous voice and data functionality
- Standard IP with speeds of up to 432kbps (contended service)
- ISDN at 64kbps
- Streaming data up to 256kbps
